Job Description:This Front-End Developer (FED) will provide direction for the future development of all front-end technologies (CSS2/3, HTML5/XHTML, DOM, JavaScript, JSP Tiles, etc.) used on AA.com. It is essential to have a flexible attitude and excellent communication skills. This person will work closely with business owners, product owners, business analysts, project managers, UX Leads, graphic designers, and J2EE developers/tech leads using the Agile project methodology. This FED will be responsible for establishing and executing the User Experience Front End Technology vision using industry best practices and standards for AA.com user interface (UI) development.

 Front End Developer – AA.com

 

Key job duties 

·         Contribute to a culture of innovation and teamwork 

·         Push the boundaries of what's possible to create better experiences for our users 

·         Lead UI technical solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables such as screen layouts, user interface elements, and prototypes 

·         Translate usability and field research findings into design/function improvements 

·         Communicate front-end technology strategy and rationale to key stakeholders and project member(s) 

·         Collaborate with AA.com Interactive Marketing and Publishing teams to develop cross-product solutions 

·         Develop and document AA.com front-end technology standards and procedures

·         Produce and deliver final assets using HTML5, CSS3, JSP and JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, etc.) for AA.com

·         Produce assets that conform to WCAG 2.0 A and AA level requirements

·         Work in an Agile team environment using two week sprints for delivery of production quality code

Skill sets required 

·         Proficient in markup coding by hand, specifically HTML5 and/or XHTML 1.0

·         Proficient in CSS3, SASS/SCSS/LESS/COMPASS implementation and best practices 

·         Proficient in JavaScript coding. Use of jQuery or similar JavaScript frameworks

·         Proficient in key Java technologies such as Java, JSP, JSTL, Struts, Apache Tiles, Struts MVC

·         Proficient in Spring MVC, Spring-taglib, Spring Web Flow and/or Spring Mobile

·         Proficient in Responsive web design (css media queries)

·         Proficient in accessibility implementation using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and Accessible Rich Interface Application (ARIA) tag standards

Nice to haves 

·         HTML5 web apps (jQuery Mobile, Sencha, etc.)

·         Angular.js, node.js, backbone.js

 

UAT Testing Manager – 6 month contract to hire – Salary for when it goes full-time is up to $90k + benefits – Pay rate range would be $55 c2c

This position is responsible for providing the leadership for analyzing, developing and implementing processes

and activities to ensure the quality of the Testing services and deliverables. Duties include daily oversight and

administration of Testing Staff activities and interactions with business, IT and client personnel, professional

development of staff, overseeing departmental performance to goals and objectives, client and employee

satisfaction, communicating improvement and issue resolution opportunities to Senior Management,

participating in IT Leadership initiatives, mentoring direct reports and delegation of tasks to develop their

administrative, supervisory and customer service skills, improving departmental technical, process and client

service capabilities, partnering with business customers to grow and expand the testing services offered and

engaged, collaborating with IT colleagues to improve processes and services offered and enhance the

performance of the IT department, and other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or 4 years IT experience

* 5 years experience leading cross-functional teams in client-facing structured system testing environment

* Experience in quality assurance and system and system testing methods

* Experience leading large, complex testing projects with teams of more than 5 testing analysts

* Foundational level ISTQB Certification

* Knowledge of healthcare and IT quality assurance methodologies

* Analytical skills including critical thinking and problem solving

* Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

* PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

* Organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

* Experience working both independently and in a team environment
